Our Story

We have been married for over 54 years and have spent that time developing over 12 unique gardens. When we arrived at Tudor Road in 2023, we were faced with 5 paddocks of grazing cattle and an old garden that had been neglected for years. We knew we were starting from scratch, but the old garden had some stunning, enormous trees that would provide us with a great foundation to build on. We spent the first few months removing fences, building arbors, and creating a new landscape designed to inspire and delight garden lovers of all ages. After 12 months of planning and planting, on a budget,  we feel we are developing a special place for all to enjoy. Maybe a wedding venue, or a place to share a Devonshire Tea. A Garden Club venue with a huge conservatory for a meeting place if required. Arts and crafts for sale along with produce from the property.

We love the place and we think you will too.

Meet The Team

Phyl.

Gardening has been a lifelong passion for me. As a former teacher, drama teacher and primary school teacher, I have always loved working with my hands and seeing things grow. From small urban gardens to large rural ones, each garden has been a journey of discovery and joy. At Tudor Garden, we want to share our passion with others, and provide a relaxing, immersive experience in our beautiful space. Hopefully our dedication and love shows in every inch of the garden and you enjoy the extra special areas that we have created.

Don.

Welcome to the Tudor Garden, where you can explore our  beautiful, sustainable garden created by a farmer turned mayor who is now back on the land and his wife Phyl who plans the projects I complete.

As I am almost retired , I enjoy building structures and cultivating a garden that is as beautiful as it is productive. I’m passionate about the vegetable garden and orchard, and the leafcutter bees that I’ve just introduced to the garden to assist pollination. These will help in both the flower garden and the vege patch. we  look forward to seeing you on a tour one day and to sharing our dream with you.
